Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Decibel Meter mobile application (the "App") provided by Emrelabs ("we", "us", or "our"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

1. License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your personal, non-commercial purposes on Apple devices that you own or control, in accordance with these Terms and Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement.

2. Subscriptions and Purchases

Parts of the App are offered under an auto-renewing subscription ("Pro"). Prices are shown in the App before purchase.
Payment is charged to your Apple ID account at confirmation of purchase.
Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period.
You can manage or cancel subscriptions in your App Store account settings at any time.
Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you purchase a subscription.

3. Important Disclaimer — Measurements

The App uses your device's microphone and provides sound level estimates for general informational purposes only. Readings depend on device hardware, microphone condition, placement, and calibration. The App is not a certified measurement instrument and must not be used as the sole basis for legal, medical, occupational-safety, or regulatory-compliance decisions. For such purposes, use a certified sound level meter operated by a qualified professional.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except as permitted by law; (b) use the App in violation of any applicable law, including laws governing audio recording and privacy of others; (c) resell, rent, or redistribute the App or its outputs as your own product.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that recording audio, photos, or video in your location is lawful and that you have any required consent from persons being recorded.

5. Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, code, and content, is owned by Emrelabs and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ACCURACY, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE APP WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT READINGS WILL BE ACCURATE FOR ANY PARTICULAR PURPOSE.

7. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, EMRELABS SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, USE, OR PROFITS, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP, INCLUDING RELIANCE ON ANY MEASUREMENT. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the App at any time; Sections 3, 5, 6, 7, and 9 survive termination.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Nothing in these Terms limits any mandatory consumer rights you have under the laws of your country of residence.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
