This Privacy Policy describes how Emrelabs ("we", "us", or "our") handles information in connection with the Decibel Meter mobile application (the "App"). By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Do Not Collect

The App is designed to work on your device. In particular:

Microphone audio is processed locally on your device to calculate sound levels. Audio recordings you choose to save are stored only on your device and are never transmitted to us.
Location data (when you enable it) is attached to your saved measurements locally on your device. We do not receive or store your location.
Photos and videos you capture with the App are saved to your device's photo library only.
We do not require an account, and we do not collect your name, email address, or contacts.

2. Information Collected Automatically

We use third-party services to understand how the App is used and to keep it reliable. These services may collect information sent by your device, such as device model, operating system version, app version, anonymized identifiers, and general usage events:

Google Firebase Analytics — anonymous usage statistics (e.g., which screens are used). See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Firebase Crashlytics — crash reports that help us fix bugs. See Firebase Privacy and Security.

This information is not linked to your identity and is not used to track you across apps or websites owned by other companies.

3. Purchases

Subscriptions are processed by Apple through your App Store account. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's handling of your data is described in the Apple Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention and Deletion

Measurements, recordings, and settings are stored locally on your device and can be deleted at any time from within the App, or entirely by uninstalling the App. Anonymous analytics and crash data are retained by our service providers according to their retention policies.

5. Children's Privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

6. Your Rights

Depending on where you live (e.g., under the GDPR or CCPA), you may have rights regarding personal information, such as the right to access or delete it. Because we hold no personal information about you, most such requests can be fulfilled by deleting the App's data on your device. For anything else, contact us and we will help.

7. Security

We rely on the security features of iOS and of our service providers to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but the App's local-first design minimizes what could ever be exposed.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
